Here is the approach to the reboots scheduled in MSI:
The MSI checks the following registry keys:
- HKLM: \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Component Based Servicing \ RebootPending
- HKLM: \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ WindowsUpdate \ Auto Update \ RebootRequired
- HKLM: \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Session Manager -> PendingFileRenameOperations
To conclude, if you have the message of reboot, it is certainly that one of the three keys mentioned has the corresponding value, and / or that the 20min of uptime we check the "pending reboot".
